Bomu Hospital is a not profit nongovernmental organization that offers primary and secondary health care service in a unique environment. From a very small clinic that offered family planning services, Bomu has evolved into a huge hospital. At Bomu, we try and address every aspect of care that the patients deserve. We further try and meet international standards of health care provision and this is clearly visible from the success of our HIV/AIDS care and treatment program. Despite having a subsidized fee for our outpatients as well as inpatients, we ensure that the quality of service is never compromised.
Bomu has significant expertise in this field which is through years of experience. Family Planning services were offered to women as early as 1980s – even before Family Planning became a National Policy. Maternal Health is a success story at Bomu and this success is evident in our Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission (PMTCT) program. Bomu claims to be a leader with 98% success.

The radiology unit is an important section in aiding diagnosis. We offer conventional x-ray services. Bomu has a State of the Art Ultra Sound which can perform obstetrics, abdominal and pelvic scans. The Xray Unit is popular as all our HIV patients have to go through Xray at regular intervals.

At our fund raising launch on 1st October 2009. Bomu was donated Insulin worth Kshs 1 Million which helps us to serve those who cannot afford.
Cervical and Breast Cancer is on the rise amongst the women of Kenya and Bomu joins those groups who hold regular camps where counseling, education and examination is done. Cancer of the mouth and eyes amongst the HIV infected patients is also common and we at Bomu try our utmost to help such women.
